PADI Discover Scuba Diving Experience
Discover the underwater world of the Bay of Bengal with a 45-minute PADI Discover Scuba Diving experience conducted by Urban Nomads in Pondicherry. Begin at the dive centre inside a premium hotel property, where you will complete the required paperwork and receive one hour of detailed briefing and swimming-pool training. Once prepared, proceed to the operator’s waterfront property approximately 5 km away and board a speedboat for a scenic journey around 6 km offshore. Enter the ocean under the direct supervision of a dedicated PADI professional and explore to a maximum depth of up to 12 metres, depending on your comfort. Underwater photos and videos, boat refreshments and a PADI Participation Certificate are included.

Yes. The programme is designed for beginners and includes one hour of briefing and swimming-pool training before the ocean dive.
Participants must be comfortable in the water and successfully complete the pool-training session. Final approval remains with the PADI professional.
The package provides up to 45 minutes underwater. Actual dive time depends on comfort, breathing rate, air consumption and safety conditions.
The maximum depth is up to 12 metres or approximately 40 feet. Your instructor will select a comfortable depth based on your performance and confidence.
Yes. A dedicated photographer will capture underwater photos and videos during the experience.
Yes. A personal PADI professional will supervise you directly throughout the ocean dive.
You will receive a PADI Participation Certificate. This is not the same as a PADI Open Water Diver certification and does not permit independent diving.
Yes. The speedboat ride to the offshore dive site and refreshments on the boat are included.
The boat travels approximately 6 km offshore to a dive site in the Bay of Bengal. The final location is selected according to weather, visibility and sea conditions.
The dive may be rescheduled, relocated or cancelled when sea conditions are unsafe. Any rescheduling or refund will follow the booking policy confirmed before payment.
