Trip Itinerary & Timeline

Haridwar → Barkot (Drive: 220 km)

Day 1

Assemble Haridwar by 7:00 AM. Drive through Mussoorie bypass, Kempty falls, and Yamuna Valley to Barkot. Check in. Evening prayers at local temple. Overnight in Barkot.

Yamunotri Dham – Trek & Holy Dip (6 km trek one way)

Day 2

Drive to Janki Chatti. Trek 6 km to Yamunotri Temple (3,291 m), source of the Yamuna River. Cook rice in Surya Kund hot spring (tradition). Receive Darshan of Goddess Yamuna. Trek back, drive to Barkot. Overnight in Barkot.

Barkot → Uttarkashi via Yamuna Valley (Drive: 85 km)

Day 3

Drive along the scenic Yamuna River valley to Uttarkashi — the 'Kashi of the mountains'. Evening visit Vishwanath Temple and Shakti Temple. Overnight in Uttarkashi.

Gangotri Dham – Bhagirathi River & Glacier View

Day 4

Drive 100 km to Gangotri (3,048 m) through Harsil Valley. Bathe in the icy Bhagirathi river. Temple Darshan of Goddess Ganga. Walk to Surya Kund and Pandava Pul. Return to Uttarkashi. Overnight in Uttarkashi.

Uttarkashi → Guptkashi via Tehri (Drive: 220 km)

Day 5

Long drive along Bhagirathi, past Tehri Dam reservoir (largest dam in Asia), through Srinagar Garhwal to Guptkashi. Biometric registration for Kedarnath yatra. Rest. Overnight in Guptkashi.

Kedarnath Trek & Darshan (16 km one way from Gaurikund)

Day 6

Drive to Gaurikund. Trek 16 km to Kedarnath Temple (3,583 m). Pony/palki available. Evening Sandhya Aarti at the ancient Jyotirlinga. Overnight in Kedarnath.

Kedarnath Morning Darshan & Return to Guptkashi

Day 7

4:00 AM Abhishek Darshan. Watch sunrise over the snow peaks behind the sacred temple. Trek back to Gaurikund. Drive to Guptkashi. Overnight in Guptkashi.

Guptkashi → Badrinath via Joshimath (Drive: 185 km)

Day 8

Drive via Chamoli, Pipalkoti, Joshimath to Badrinath (3,133 m). Evening Aarti at Badrinath Temple. Holy dip in Tapt Kund. Overnight in Badrinath.

Badrinath Darshan & Mana – Last Indian Village

Day 9

Morning Darshan at Badrinath. Drive to Mana village: visit Vyas Gufa, Bhim Pul, Saraswati River. Purchase Badrinath Prasad. Begin return drive to Haridwar direction. Overnight in Pipalkoti/Chamoli.

Pipalkoti → Rishikesh – Devprayag & Ganga Aarti

Day 10

Drive through Devprayag confluence (Alaknanda + Bhagirathi = Ganges). Arrive Rishikesh. Visit Triveni Ghat for holy dip. Attend evening Ganga Aarti at Parmarth Niketan. Overnight in Rishikesh.

Rishikesh → Haridwar – Departure

Day 11

Morning Lakshman Jhula walk and final shopping. Transfer to Haridwar Railway Station or Dehradun Airport. Char Dham Yatra concludes with blessings.
