Arrival in Leh – Full Acclimatization Rest

Day 1

Arrive at Leh Airport (3,500 m). Transfer to hotel. Mandatory full-day acclimatization rest to prevent Acute Mountain Sickness. Plenty of warm fluids, light lunch. Gentle 30-minute sunset walk to Leh Market. Overnight in Leh.

Leh – Shanti Stupa, Leh Palace & Sangam

Day 2

Morning walk to Shanti Stupa (300 stairs) for panoramic Indus Valley views. Visit 9-storey Leh Palace. Drive to Gurudwara Pathar Sahib. Experience Magnetic Hill optical illusion. Stop at Sangam — the confluence of Indus and Zanskar rivers. Overnight in Leh.

Leh – Thiksey, Hemis Monastery & Leh Bazaar

Day 3

Morning visit Thiksey Monastery (spectacular 12-storey monastery). Hemis Monastery (richest in Ladakh). Afternoon walk through Leh's colourful Old Market and visit the Ecology Centre. Overnight in Leh.

Pangong Lake Day Excursion (Chang La – 5,360 m)

Day 4

Early start — drive over Chang La pass to Pangong Lake for the day. Witness the extraordinary azure-to-teal colour spectrum of the lake. Brief walk along the shore. Return to Leh over Chang La. Overnight in Leh.

Leh – Alchi Monastery & Departure

Day 5

Morning drive to Alchi Monastery (11th-century, known for multi-coloured stucco murals of Kashmiri art style). Return to Leh for departure flight. Tour concludes.
