Sandakphu is the highest peak in West Bengal and the only trek in the world that offers panoramic views of 4 of the world's 5 highest peaks in a single vista: Mt. Everest (8,848m), Kanchenjunga (8,586m), Lhotse (8,516m), and Makalu (8,485m). The Kanchenjunga cluster famously resembles 'The Sleeping Buddha'.

Drive from NJP / Bagdogra to Manebhanjan (6,400 ft)
4 hours drive through Darjeeling tea estates to Manebhanjan border town.
Manebhanjan to Tumling via Chitrey & Tonglu (9,600 ft / 11 km)
Steep initial climb to Chitrey monastery and ridge trail to Tumling in Nepal.
Tumling to Kalipokhri via Singalila Park (10,400 ft / 12 km)
Scenic ridge walk past the sacred black water lake of Kalipokhri.
Kalipokhri to Sandakphu Summit (11,930 ft / 6 km)
Ascend to Sandakphu summit for sunset and panoramic 360° views of Everest & Kanchenjunga.
Sandakphu to Srikhola via Gurdum (6,900 ft / 16 km)
Descend through dense bamboo and rhododendron forests to the riverside village of Srikhola.
Srikhola to NJP / Bagdogra Departure
Drive back to New Jalpaiguri (NJP) railway station or Bagdogra airport.
